I’m Lisa new to the team and look forward to working with CTS.

I qualified as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in 2007 and worked in the NHS in mental health services. First in a secure hospital and then moved out into a community mental health team. This allowed me to utilise my OT skills and look at individuals holistically, assess and offer interventions to promote all aspects of their life.

After having my own children, I had a break from OT, but those OT skills didn’t lay dormant and came into practice while they were growing up, learning through play and watching them develop. I also opened my own childminding business while they were young. This created a huge passion in me to work with children and I found myself working in a local Sen school working with children with complex physical, challenging behaviours and educational needs.

My passion grew further, and I have found Occupational Therapy again. I’m now a registered OT and I am planning to do my sensory integration training.
