Jodie - Paediatric Occupational Therapist

I’m Jodie an Occupational Therapist for CTS.

I have always had a passion for working with children and young people who have neurological conditions, complex needs, autism, and sensory problems.

My experience working in SEN schools with children, young people, and their families/ carers and professional over the last 9 years, has allowed me to expand my knowledge and understanding of the different challenges they can face.

This has only increased my drive to overcome the barriers around mental health,  learning difficulties and disabilities, whilst promoting understanding, to allow the children and young people that I work with to achieve their goals to live a life full of potential and opportunities in their chosen occupation.

I have a keen interest in expanding my knowledge in trauma and sensory integration. I am currently carrying out my sensory integration training, which is enabling my further understanding of our sensory systems and how they impact our development of fundamental life skills.

The world of Occupational Therapy is an exciting place, where we are given the opportunities to empower the individuals and their families, who we work with through our interventions, play and other activities.
