Phoebe - Paediatric Occupational Therapist

I am Phoebe new to the team and excited to work with CTS and continue my learning and development

I have always had a passion for working with children and their families who have disabilities in particular neurological conditions, autism, and sensory processing difficulties.

Whilst qualifying as an OT I worked part time with a charity-based organization who provided respite care and activities for children and young people with a variety of disabilities. I also ensured that my last placement was within a paediatric setting during my last year at university which was in a specialist school for children with cerebral palsy and this reinforced my passion to work with children and train as a sensory integration practitioner.

I qualified 2019 where I had a variety of experiences with the county council and in a specialist neuro rehab unit. It was then in 2022 when I joined a specialist school and self-funded my training to become a sensory integration practitioner. During this time my passion grew, and I was keen to expand my knowledge and career in sensory integration.

It was after having my own children that I joined the CTS team to continue developing my skills as an OT particularly in regard to the sensory integration route and the link to trauma and attachment.
